M*A*G*I*C*

Becca: Sister Park-- we're gonna make you the BEST Personal Progress Leader EVER!

Me: Oh REALLY? And how's that?

Becca: We're gonna work really hard on our Personal Progress and do whatever you tell us.

Me: Hmmmm....

Becca: 'Cause you've got the MAGIC in you!!

Have I mentioned how much I love my incredibly insane Young Women?? Well, I do. I was officially released today from the Young Women presidency, as the 2nd counselor. I've been in the presidency for close to 4 years now! We were all released together, so it made for an interesting and rather emotional Sacrament meeting today, with lots of bearing of testimonies. I've loved working with all of the ladies, and I hope we continue to be close. As you can see, from above, I'm now the new Personal Progress Leader-- they just can't cut the cord, can they? Just sever it a little! I know we all need change, and I'm grateful for the opportunity. I knew the end was near, it's just a little weird knowing that it actually happened! How could I expect to forever be in the Young Women presidency?? My life has revolved around the program for so long now, seeing the girls 2 to 3 times a week and planning with them and praying for them. It's now down to once a month. I should be happy for the break, right? The feeling I've lost a limb should go away soon, I hope.

Tammy (the now former Young Women president) made her presidency these aprons (I'm wearing above) as a "goodbye" gift. So, she does most of the work, as our president, and we get her fabulous presents-- sounds like a deal to me! I thought it was sweet that she told us she picked different fabric to match our individual personalities. I told her she must think I'm beautiful! So, thanks, Tammy. It's been a fun time! I'm going to try my hardest, now, to become the "BEST Personal Progress Leader EVER"! 'Cause I'm MAGIC!

I love the cute apron! YWs is so fun! I loved working with the girls when Mario and I were in the spanish ward:) Unfortunatly, I only had a councilor for 3 months out of the year I was YW President, so I was on my own to do all planning and personal progress etc. for the 6 girls (small branch) I still loved it though and miss them a ton now! Glad to hear you got to stay with them:)

Bethany-I teach in the Sunnyslope area so most of my students come from spanish speaking homes (18 out of 20 this year.) I think I have 12 this year that do not know any English. I will speak both Spanish and English the first few weeks of school and then once they understand the rules and classroom routine I will start using Spanish less. They learn very quickly, they are like sponges:)
